DepEd Introduction
The Department of Education (DepEd) is the executive department of the Philippine government responsible for ensuring access to, promoting equity in, and improving the quality of basic education. Important Reminders
- Public school education in the Philippines is FREE from Kindergarten to Senior High School (Grade 12)
- Enrollment period is typically from June to August; early enrollment is encouraged
- All learners are assigned a unique Learner Reference Number (LRN) upon first enrollment
- School records requests should be directed to the school last attended
- For document authentication, contact the DepEd Division Office or Regional Office
- ALS is available for those who are at least 15 years old and have not completed basic education
- ESC vouchers are for Junior High School graduates who qualify for Senior High School at participating private schools
