Important Reminders
- PSA documents are printed on security paper (SECPA) with watermarks
- Fees differ by channel: walk-in at PSA outlets is the cheapest; online delivery (PSAHelpline / PSASerbilis) costs more and includes courier
- Records are only available once registered with the local civil registry
- Allow 1–3 months for newly registered births / marriages to appear in the PSA database (longer for late registrations)
- Bring a valid ID when claiming documents
- For corrections, file with your Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) first — PSA only mirrors the LCRO record
- Using the document abroad? You will likely need a DFA Apostille on top of the PSA copy
